Christmas Guide: Cards

December 01, 2021 2 min read

One of the best ways to spread festive joy is by sending out a greetings card - it’s not always about the big expensive gifts and treats, but rather the sentiment, a simple card can really say ‘I’m thinking of you’. We stock a huge range of amazing Christmas cards, all designed by amazing artists here in the North East. Here is our short guide to help you pick out the best cards for your loved ones this season.

Starting with our ‘Merry Christmas from the North East’ cards! These cards are so simply designed yet eye-catching, featuring our favourite monuments from The Angel of The North, St Mary’s Lighthouse, Tynemouth Priory and Spanish City in both a festive red and a striking blue, these cards are perfect for anyone truly Northern.

If you’re a fan of Northern humour, you’ll love this next one, have yourself a Canny Christmas! Featuring a Geordie Santa sporting the Toons black and white stripes, this card is sure to make anyone giggle (bet you didn’t know Santa was such a huge NUFC fan!)

One of our most popular ranges is our Wor Angel created by the amazing NET00n Creative, well you’ve seen our Wor Angel Christmas Bauble, now get ready for our Wor Reindeer Angel Card! This year The Angel of the North has actually turned into Rudolph himself, sporting antlers and a bright red nose. Just make sure to leave out a carrot for all his hard work!

Is there any better place to spend Christmas than Spanish City? Every year they have the most stunning Christmas tree, festive drinks and windows that overlook the winter sun. If you want to share Spanish City’s festivities with everyone far and wide, why not send out an exclusive For the Love of the North Christmas at Spanish City card?

This heart-warming card is one of my personal favourite designs, it’s the perfect way to make family and friends feel close to home wherever they are. The bold design centres around the iconic Tyne Bridge, a notable feature of the Toon. Coming Home For Christmas never felt so good!

Winter in Northumberland is always beautiful. The remote landscapes and lack of light pollution always offer some amazing sights. One of our favourite places to visit in the cooler months is Sycamore Gap. This card captures the magic of the Northern Lights during the darker and colder months. This card is perfect for any occasion and is always a great reminder of the beauty of winter.
