Take away Lockdown Blues with these top coastal takeaway coffees

February 17, 2021 2 min read

To make our Lockdown walks a little more special we like to grab a takeaway coffee to drink on the go. This is a great thing to do when you need a treat, and it has really brightened us up on the days where we’ve felt a little deflated from Lockdown 3. Today we thought we’d do a super quick blog post to share some of our favourite places to grab a coffee along the coast. Our walking route starts towards the end of Whitley Bay and goes right through Cullercoats and into Tynemouth across each of the beaches, so the takeaway options on this list follow a similar pattern.

Room 305:
Location: Whitley Bay.

We’re a family of four living in Whitley Bay; I’m Mum (Claire), married to Phil and we have two children who are five and seven.  Bay and Beyond was created to share our family adventures and showcase the places we enjoy visiting in the area and beyond.  As a family we love a good road trip; jumping in the car with a boot load of snacks and kids clothes for every eventuality! After a year of very few road trips we were so excited to be able to visit Stockeld Park near Wetherby.
