Emerson, Lake & Palmer were an English progressive rock supergroup formed in London in April 1970. The band consisted of Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer.
They were very popular, and just on the verge of mega success when they performed at Newcastle City Hall in December 1971. One of their greatest hits 'Lucky Man' was on the setlist and was described as a 'mind blowing' by devoted fans.
