All artwork will be £50.  All artwork will be sold anonymously so you won't find which artist created you beautiful artwork until you get it home!

Stuart Jones

Stuart Jones is a ‘plein air’ landscape painter working in oils and based in Newcastle upon Tyne.  He holds an MA in Fine Art from Newcastle University and a PGCE in Art Education from Northumbria University.  He has recently held a solo exhibition The Painted Coast: Tyneside at Spanish City in Whitley Bay and was the overall winner of the Weardale Plein Air Festival painting competition at St. John’s Chapel in 2025.

Stuart finds working outdoors from nature to be the most rewarding way to capture light effects and life as it happens.  Every brush stroke is of the moment, ensuring an immediacy and vitality to his impressionistic paintings.

Stuart is a founding member of the outdoor painting group Plein Air North East, who will exhibit their work at the People’s Theatre in Newcastle in May 2026.  His work is held in both public and private collections and his work can be viewed at Brightwater Gallery in Alnwick and on his online website www.stuartjonesart.com
